PLACE OF DATA PROCESSING

The processing connected with the web services offered by the site is carried out at GVM headquarters exclusively by operators of the company, expressly appointed persons in charge of the processing, suitably instructed on the security measures to be adopted and subjected to constant supervision by the Data Controller and/or by the Data Supervisor, or by any persons in charge of occasional maintenance operations. No datum originating from the web service is communicated or spread.

TYPE OF DATA PROCESSED

Web surfing data
The information systems and the software procedures designated for the operation of this website acquire, during their normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols.

This is information that has not been collected to be associated with identified concerned parties, but that by its very nature could, through processing and associations with data held by third parties, allow identifying the users.
This data category includes the IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by the users who connect to the site, the URIs (Uniform Resource Identifiers) of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relative to the user’s operating system and computing environment.

Data provided voluntarily by the user
The filling out of the information request form involves the acquisition, by GVM, of the user’s personal data such as name, surname, telephone number and addresses of the sender needed to respond to the requests, as well as any other personal data included in the communication. We invite site users, in their requests for services and/or in their questions, not to send the names or other personal data of third party subjects unless strictly necessary; it would be better to use fictional names.

Through the voluntary registration process GVM collects personal data such as: name, surname, e-mail address, telephone number, address, Postal Code, province, country.

PROCESSING PURPOSES AND METHODS

The web surfing data are used for the sole purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on use of the site and to make sure it is working correctly; they are kept as long as necessary, as indicated by law. The data may be used to ascertain responsibility in case of hypothetical computer crimes against the site: except in this case, the data on web contacts persist only as long as necessary for the purposes for which they are collected and subsequently processed.
The personal data provided voluntarily by users are used for the sole purpose of carrying out the requested service (request and/or subscription to newsletters, specific requests for information, contact or sending of advertising material) and, where the concerned party has given express consent, for promotional and commercial purposes. In the former case, the data are stored for the time required to reply to the concerned parties while, if the concerned party has given express consent for the processing of personal data for promotional and commercial purposes, the data are kept for 24 months from when they were recorded.
The personal data provided will be processed in compliance with the principles of lawfulness, fairness, relevance and no surplus.
Data collection, recording, storage and modification operations may be performed for the indicated purposes in printed, electronic and telematic format with logics closely correlated to the purposes themselves and, in any case, always in compliance with the regulations aimed at guaranteeing, among other things, data confidentiality and security. Personal data are processed using paper and electronic (computer/telematic) instruments.
Specific security measures are observed to prevent data loss, illegal or incorrect uses and unauthorised accesses.

COOKIES

A “cookie” is a small text file created by some websites on the user’s computer at the time he/she accesses a specific site, with the purpose of storing and transporting information. Cookies are sent by a web server (which is the computer on which the visited website is running) to the user’s browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, etc.) and stored on the latter’s computer; they are then re-sent to the website at the time of subsequent visits.
The GVM website uses so-called “session or temporary cookies”, which are issued by the same site on the user’s computer while he/she consults them, and they are not stored permanently, but only for the amount of time the web surfing session lasts. This implies their deletion once the user’s browser is closed. The use of these cookies is strictly limited to the transmission of session identifiers, constituted by random numbers generated by the server, necessary to allow secure and efficient exploration of the site.
The session cookies used on the GVM site are anonymous, they do not allow identifying the visitor, and they are in no way combined with other information (e.g. personal data provided by the user through the filling out of web forms). These data are used solely to trace and examine the use of sites by users, to compile statistics on the basis of information collected in anonymous format and through the use of aggregated data. The cookies used by the site do not resort to other computer techniques potentially prejudicial for the confidentiality of user web surfing, and they do not allow the acquisition of personal data that can identify said users. GVM, through its website, does not use cookies to transmit personal information or systems for tracing users. The user can, at any time, set his/her browser to accept all cookies, only some, or to decline them, disabling their use by the sites. In addition, the user can normally set the preferences of his/her browser so as to be notified each time that a cookie is stored in the memory of his/her computer. Please note that not accepting the cookies will in no way jeopardise correct operation of the site. Finally, please note that at the end of the web surfing session, the user may in any case delete the collected cookies from his/her hard disk.

NATURE OF THE DATA CONFERMENT

Aside from what was specified for the web surfing data, the user is free to provide personal data to request information.
The lack of conferment of this data may make it impossible to obtain the requested information.

RIGHTS OF THE PERSON CONCERNED

Pursuant to art. 7 of the Privacy Code, it will be possible at any time to present a request for access to the processed data, obtain confirmation of the existence or not of the same data and know its content and origin, verify its accuracy or request its integration, updating or rectification. Pursuant to the same article, it will be possible to request the deletion, transformation into anonymous form or blocking of the data processed in violation of the law, as well as to oppose its processing in any case for legitimate reasons.
To this end it will be possible to contact the GVM S.p.A. data controller, in the person of their Legal Representative, with headquarters in Lugo (RA), C.so Garibaldi 11, or at the email address web@gvmnet.it.

This Privacy Policy can be updated and/or changed even in order to implement and/or comply with national, Community and international regulations or to adapt to technological innovations. The updates and/or changes that will be made to the Privacy Policy will be reported on this web page and made constantly visible so that the persons concerned can be fully informed on how their personal data provided through the Internet site is used.
